Dr. Allise Markowski is a native of Suffield, Connecticut. She attended Suffield Academy and started her college career at UCONN-Storrs. Allise completed her Bachelors Degree in Human Behavioral Studies from Western New England College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Markowski earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. While working on her doctorate, Allise had the opportunity to study Optics in Aalen, Germany, as well as travel to Belize to provide Optometric exams and eye glasses to underprivileged children. She volunteered time on the weekends to do eye screenings to Head Start children entering preschool. In addition Dr. Markowski has worked with patients at Community Health Centers in the Greater Boston area; provided eye care to military personnel and their families at the United States Naval Base in Newport, Rhode Island; and completed an internship at the Veterans Hospital in Newington, Connecticut.
Dr. Markowski is a member of the Optometric Extension Program for Behavioral Optometrists, the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She sees patients of all ages, including pediatric exams and contact lens evaluations. Dr. Markowski is pleased to welcome New Patients at this time.
Dr. Markowski is excited to return and serve the community that she grew up in. She is happy to be so close to her friends and family. She enjoys cooking, traveling and yoga. In her spare time she often enjoys tennis, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.
